Thousands of migrants in Cologne, Germany, are suspected of brawling, committing sexual assault, and launching fireworks into crowds on New Year’s Eve.

Gangs of Arabic and North African migrants celebrated New Year’s Eve with a slew of sexual assaults on German women. Police only arrested five men during the chaotic night, which included brawling men who also launched fireworks into crowds of revelers.
Colone’s Chief of police, Wolfgang Albers, confirmed 80 crimes perpetrated by migrants during New Year’s Eve festivities, 35 of which were sexual attacks, Der Express reported Sunday.
“The crimes have been committed by a group of people who mostly come from the North African and Arab countries,” Albers said at a news conference, the newspaper reported. He said suspects who were arrested had been issued official immigration paperwork.
A 28-year-old victim identified as “Katja L” told the newspaper she and her boyfriend were surrounded by a gang of men after getting off a train early Saturday morning.
“We then walked through this group of men. [They] opened up a lane, which we walked through. Suddenly I felt a hand on my buttocks, then on my breasts, in the end, I was groped everywhere. It was a nightmare. Although we shouted and beat them, the guys did not stop. I was desperate and think I was touched around 100 times in the 200 meters,” Katja L said. “Fortunately I wore a jacket and trousers. A skirt probably would have been torn off.”
Other witnesses said the migrants taunted women with “ficky, ficky,” which translates to the F-word in English, as well as “sl-t.”
Germany, which accepted over 1 million refugees in 2015, now faces the herculean task of trying to force its new population to respect Western values.
Officials in Norway have started issuing Muslim refugees a manual on how to treat women.
