Mencho's brother-in-law and financial chief "El Elvis" arrested at hospital

The presumed financial brain of Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), was arrested at a hospital as he was being treated for gunshot wounds.

Elvis González Valencia alias “El Elvis”, is the brother-in-law of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes “El Mencho”, and brother of the leader of “Los Cuinis”, Abigael González Valencia.

Gonzales arrived at Hospital Real San José de Zapopan from the Hospital Regional de San Miguel el Alto on Saturday, arriving in a Suburban with two gunshot wounds.

After his arrival in Zapopan, a strong police presence ensued at the scene, of state, federal and later elements of the Army.

The arrest of Elvis was confirmed Sunday by Eduardo Almaguer RFamirez, attorney general of Jalisco.

Elvis González Valencia, together with his brothers Gerardo “El Lalo”, José María “El Chema”, Ulises Giovanni, Édgar and sister Rosalinda, wife of “El Mencho” form leadership of “Los Cuinis”. Elvis makes financial decisions for both CJNG and his brother Abigael.

Among the charges against Elvis is international trafficking of meth amphetamines for the criminal organization Los Cuinis and Jalisco Cartel New Generation.

Los Cuinis cartel emerged from the cártel Milenio in the late 1990s, and has strong ties to CJNG and have focused on the trafficiking of cocaine and methamphetamine.
