Midday on Monday Nov 1 dozens of human remains were found among tires and other garbage in an excavation about three meters deep between Villa del Alamo and Colinas de Presa in Tijuana.
The search operation was conducted by forensic experts from SEIDO, the PGR and the staff of PGJE and the Division Gendarmerie.
The president of the United Association for the Disappeared of Baja California, Fernando Ocegueda Flores, said the despite the secrecy surrounding the discovery and investigation, the authorities estimated there to be about eighty human remains, including bones and dental plates.
During this past week, investigators for SEIDO and PGJE were, in addition, searching areas in Ejido Maclovio Rojas and others in the vicinity of Tijuana and Tecate.
The United Association of the Disappeared of Baja also are contributing any information from locations they are searching on their own and from anonymous tips. SEIDO has sent personnel and specialized search equipment to aid in their efforts.
