Members of a criminal organization intended to shoot down a helicopter of the Marines that was flying over the town of Padilla, Tamaulipas.

After repelling the aggression, five members of the criminal gang were killed and ten more fled the place, informed the coordination group for Tamaulipas.

Two of the criminals were shot from the air and a further three were shot on the ground, when they confronted personnel from the Marines.

The criminals were found to be illegally occupying a ranch, utilizing it as a narco-camp, according to information from the portal MVS.

They inform the ranch is called “La Chincheta”, located 3 kilometres from the national Ciudad Victoria-Monterrey highway, in the immediate location of the village of El Barretal.

Inside the ranch, authorities found AR15 and AK47 assault rifles as well as spare rifle magazines, tactical clothing, camping equipment, food and six automobiles.
