The women were captured on the Mas Mesillas – El Naranjo road, when they were travelling aboard a Ford Lobo pickup, which the Police and Army elements intercepted.

When questioned, the women said that they came from the community of El Naranjo, and that they had gone to leave food for several men, who had participated in the ambush against the uniformed people last week.

When arriving at the designated place and after a chase, the Police and Army forces arrested Luis Eduardo “N”, 17 years old, originally from Zihuatanejo, and Ernesto Margarito “N”,
18 years old, also from the same locality.

Guerrero Authorities Located Truck used in Police Ambush

In two separate events, coordinated forces in the state of Guerrero detained six people and confiscated three trucks, one of which was used in the ambush of police officers last Tuesday.

The report indicates that the detainees, between 27 and 31 years of age, stated that they had gone to leave food to men who were in the El Naranjo community, whom they identified as ambush participants to the police.
