Prof C.N.R. Rao is very lucky among Indian scientists. He was able to publish research papers as many as 1500, and large number of books. Only three Indian scientists were lucky to get honorary degrees from several universities. Two of them are fortunate to get Bharat Ratna. Rest of the top Indian scientists could not get honorary PhD Degree from universities. There are few distinguished scientists in India in subects such as medicine, physics, chemistry but there is no chance for them to get a Bharat Ratna. Elders among Indian scientists are of the view, that publication of large number of research papers brings immense credit to the scientist and country. Franly speaking, breakthroughs, discoveries and innovations can only fetch Nobel Prize, which brings immense credit to any country. Thousands of research papers published by native indians are unable to fetch a Nobel Prize in the last 85 years after Sir C.V.Raman was awarded one for the discovery of Raman Effect. There is hardly any truth in Prof CNR Rao’s saying that scientists need to work with passion. Indian scientists work with passion and conviction. I have reported fundamental physics discoveries as many as nine in 2010 and 2013 in four research papers. Full papers can be seen in Internet on Google search of M.A.Padmanabha Rao, PhD (AIIMS). Through this article I am bringing this information to the notice of Prof.CNR Rao.
