Police Deployed In Bommanahal

Bommanahal (BIN – IC): Police personnel had been deployed at Untakallu Cross, Devagiri Cross and other areas in Bommanahal from morning on Wednesday. Police stopped many motorists, pedestrians and asked for details from where they are coming and where they are going to. It is known that this police bandobast was arranged after receiving information that the leaders of Telugu Desam Party would participate in the dharna.  The police were deployed as part of a pre-emptive action to prevent any untoward incident or disruption to the civil society. A DSP level police officer reviewed the situation from time to time and monitored the security arrangements. It is known that some TDP leaders were also put under house arrest.

The sources said that the background of this police deployment is that three people of the same family living in Untakallu attempted to commit suicide on the 11th of this month, and the situation before and after the incident was politically motivated.
