Michael Sherbourne Speaks

A message “from Across the Pond” to all those present:

Dear Friends,

I am sending you this message of greeting as an Englishman, aged 93, a Veteran of World War II, (Royal Navy), with a deep love for the United States of America and a sincere hope that your country will remain as the leader of Western Civilization, preserving the values of humanity, justice, and liberty as we have known them.

Today, the whole of the Western World, including America, stands in danger of being swamped by the forces of darkness that would destroy everything that we hold dear, especially those ideals included in your Declaration of Independence of 1776, namely, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

I call to you all from over the Atlantic Ocean, as did Winston Churchill in his day, to Stand Firm, Be Bold, and face the enemy that is attempting to destroy you from within, as you did in those dark days of 1941-1945 when you overcame those other external Forces of Evil.
