A man was stabbed to death on 5 May 2024 in Cosmo City extension 6, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The male victim was going home, crossing through a small bush, and was stabbed with a screwdriver to death.
Crime has increased in every suburb in South Africa. There is too much poverty and unemployment caused by the shutdown of the South African economy during COVID-19 economic Shutdown some few years ago. South Africa lost billions. Tens of thousands lost their jobs. More people have turned to crime robbing cash and cellphones.
Our lives are now at risk. You can be robbed anytime or killed any time by criminals. South African Police are doing hard and risk work in fighting crime. Just that the punishment for crime is too lenient. Before victims are out of hospitals, criminals will be out of prison. The death penalty in imperatively needed in South Africa.
Too much crime is caused by lack of fear and lack of swift punishment.
The Bible has already said it,” When the sentence for a crime is not speedily executed, the hearts of men become fully set on doing evil.” Ecclesiastes 8:11.
South Africa must pass the Death Penalty on these murderers, rapists and armed robbers. Trial and justice must not exceed 6 months. Bail must not be granted to Capital offenses. Criminals have no rights at all.
