Ahmadinejad VS. Cyrus The Great

There have been several great leaders in the land of Persia over the last several thousand years. One of these was Cyrus the Great. He was probably the most well known king of Persia. The present leader of Persia (Iran) is president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which is just the opposite of Cyrus.

Ahmadinejad claims to be a servant of his god, Allah, whom he talks about all the time. Cyrus was also a servant of God, but Cyrus’ God was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – The God of Israel.

Now let’s compare these two leaders of Persia.

Ahmadinejad claims he is serving Allah and he wants Israel to be destroyed. Many times he has claimed this. He supports Hezbollah and Hamas, which openly declare that they will have no peace with Israel. Ahmadinejad uses these groups to do his dirty work and supplies them with missiles and other weapons of war.

But Cyrus on the other hand was a friend to Israel. When Israel went into captivity by the Babylonian empire, at the end of this time period when Cyrus came into power he released the children of Israel and allowed them to go back into their land and commanded them to rebuild Jerusalem and rebuild the temple.

Cyrus was a great man. About 200 years before Cyrus came into power, the Lord God of Israel prophesied about Cyrus through his prophet Isaiah. In Isaiah 44 it says,

“28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.”

And in Isaiah 45 it says,

“1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.”

So here is what the Lord God of Israel says about Cyrus king of Persia;

1. He is my shepherd.
2. He shall perform all my pleasure.
3. He shall build Jerusalem.
4. He shall build the temple.
5. He is my anointed.
6. His right hand have I holden.
7. The Lord raised him up in righteousness.
8. The Lord will direct all his ways.
9. He shall let go my captives.

And these things were fulfilled in Cyrus. He let all the children of Israel go free and promoted the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the temple and encouraged freewill offerings to help aid the rebuilding process and encouraged the children of Israel to inhabit their land.

Cyrus was a servant of the Lord God of Israel.

But Ahmadinejad wants to destroy Israel. He claims Allah wants them destroyed. He does not want the children of Israel to inhabit their land.

This tells us something. This means that Allah is not the Lord God of Israel.

The prophets of the Lord God of Israel tell us that the children of Israel will not be destroyed but rather will rule with the Messiah over the Gentiles. The Lord God of Israel, which created the heavens and the earth, promised the children of Israel the land that they are presently on and then some.

But this obviously is not what Allah teaches. Ahmadinejad claims to be following the will of Allah. He doesn’t want them to have the land and wants Israel to be destroyed.

Oops!

Sounds like we got two different Gods here. What are we going to do?

Well, obviously they are going to battle it out someday in the future and guess what? The real God is going to win. This will show that the other was a fake.

Is the Lord God of Israel a fake or is Allah a fake?

Hmm, let’s think about this for a minute. The Lord God of Israel created the heavens and the earth. He caused the great flood in which he saved Noah on the ark. He called out Abraham and separated him from the people and gave him covenants and promises. Abraham had Issac and Issac had Jacob and God changed Jacob’s name to Israel and Israel had twelve sons and these are the twelve tribes of Israel.

The children of Israel went down into Egypt and ended up becoming slaves. God brought them out of Egypt by a mighty hand and put many plagues upon the Egyptians. He split the Red Sea so the children of Israel could walk upon dry ground. He gave them laws and commandments. He gave them the land of Canaan.

He gave them many prophets and told them that he would send them the Messiah who would come and be King over all the earth and rule with his people Israel, and numerous other things he promised them.

On the other hand, about 610 AD a man named Muhammad claimed he was a prophet of the same God and according to his writings people that do not believe as he does need to be destroyed which of course includes the Jews and the Christians and any other religious faiths out there.

The writings of the prophet Muhammad go against the writings of the prophets of the Lord God of Israel.

Cyrus believed the Lord God of Israel, and the prophets of Israel prophesied about Cyrus 200 years before Cyrus came into power and everything they prophesied of Cyrus came true.

Ahmadinejad believes the writings of the prophet Muhammad rather than the writings of the prophets of the Lord God of Israel.

There is no possible way that the Lord God of Israel and the god of Muhammad is the same being. Their teachings do not match. They cannot both be correct. One of them is a liar.

How can the same God claim the promises he gave to Israel and then claim Israel should be destroyed from off the face of the earth?

Somebody is not telling us the truth.

These two kings of Persia, Cyrus and Ahmadinejad, worship two different Gods. They are not the same and they have two different agendas. The writings of the prophets of the Lord God of Israel have been around for over 3000 years but the writings of the prophet Muhammad have only been around for 1400 years. The teachings of Muhammad are fairly new compared to the teachings of the prophets of Israel.

Now if you live in Persia (Iran) today you need to ask yourself this question:

Were our kings of old such as Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes that blessed the nation of Israel, were they correct?

Or is our present king that curses the nation of Israel correct?

Even though most people don’t think so and don’t want it to happen, the time of the end will become a religious battle. It will be the people of the God of Israel against the people of the god of Muhammad.

It’s going to be a mess. You need to choose who’s side you are on. But you better choose wisely, a bad choice will have everlasting devastating consequences.

Very soon a great battle will take place in the northern mountains of Israel and Persia will be in this coalition that fights against Israel. According to the prophets of the Lord God of Israel, this coalition against Israel will be destroyed by the Lord God of Israel and in Ezekiel 38 it says,

“23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.”

At this battle, the Lord God of Israel will magnify and sanctify himself and many nations shall know that he is the Lord.

When this prophecy comes true, many nations will know who the true Lord really is.
