Iran Threatens To Strike Israel, US Warships If Syria Is Attacked

A senior Iranian lawmaker said Israel would be the first casualty of any U.S.-led strike on Syria, according to regional media reports.

Hossein Sheikholeslam, the director general of the Iranian parliament’s International Affairs bureau, claimed the United States would not dare attack Syria but said that if it does, “the Zionist regime will be the first victim.”

“If such an incident takes place, which is impossible, the Zionist regime will be the first victim of a military attack on Syria,” Sheikholeslam said in an apparent response to the Obama administration’s increasingly stern rhetoric against Syria.

Meanwhile… Iran’s Revolutionary Guard-controlled Fars news agency cited a regime expert in saying, “If US ships intervene in Syria they must expect precision-striking ‘Iskandar’ ballistic missiles and ‘SCUD’ anti-ship missiles, and there is no weapon on US ships that can neutralize these anti-ship missiles.”

This could come in the form of many things. A direct attack being highly unlikely. What ismore likely is attacksby Palestinian and/orHezbollah militants instead. Iran has many proxies, including in Syria. They are the Shia octopus with many tentacles. It could set off new terror attacks inside Israel, something Israel has not seen in years now. This is not neccesariily an idol threat, these are ighly volitile times and there are many itchy fingers waiting to pull the trigger. Israel will of course respond with attacks of its own because despite all the threats Iran have ever made, they havent been in a war for 30 years while Israel is seemingly in a perpetual state of war. -Mort
