Israel's Coming Messiah

Letter To Israel: About Your Messiah

To the Hebrews,

As tensions build higher and higher in the Middle East we know that some major things will happen soon according to the prophets of the holy scriptures. The nation of Israel is losing friends very quickly and very soon the only friends you will have are Christians.

We TRUE Christians worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and his son – the Messiah. We know that you feel that the Messiah has not come yet but we Christians believe he has come and has manifested himself to the world and will return in all his glory.

We are on your side. We know that one day the Messiah will return and you, the nation of Israel, will be his holy people. We understand these things.

We know that you believe the Tanakh, what we refer to as the old testament scriptures, which consists of the books Genesis through Malachi, but you do not believe the new testament scriptures. That’s fine for now, we can get by with just the old testament scriptures.

We want to talk to you about your Messiah. The word “Messiah” is only mentioned twice in the holy scriptures and they are both found in the book of Daniel in chapter 9. In verse 26 it says,

“26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”

In the first part of the verse it says,

“… shall Messiah be cut off…”

If you go to a synagogue on a regular basis and read the holy scriptures then you should already know that “cut off” means to die. So when your Messiah gets here, according to the scripture he is going to die. But the next part of the verse says,

“…but not for himself:…”

If the Messiah is not going to die for himself, then who is he going to die for?

In Isaiah 53 it talks about a suffering servant who will die and pay for sins. Starting in verse 11 it says,

“11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

So far we see in Daniel 9 that the Messiah is going to die but not for himself and In Isaiah 53 that this suffering servant will die and pay for sins.

Now here is a very serious question for you Jews. Do you really believe the holy scriptures mean what they say? Here is another question:

Who created the world? Who established all the ends of the earth?

If you believe God did then we are in agreement. Now let’s allow the scriptures to ask you the next question. In Proverbs 30 it says,

“4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?”

Does God have a son? What is his son’s name?

Do you really believe the holy scriptures?

In the old testament scriptures, God tells us his name is “the Lord”. In Isaiah 42 it says,

“8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.”

In the old testament scriptures God’s son is called “the Lord of hosts” in many places. In Isaiah 44 it says,

“6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”

The Lord of hosts is the Lord’s redeemer for Israel and all mankind.

In Isaiah 7 it says,

“14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

In Isaiah 9 it says,

“6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

Is it possible that the Messiah, who is going to die but not for himself, the suffering servant who is going to die and pay for sins, God’s son and the child who is born of a virgin to rule over all the world all be the same person?

We Christians believe he is the same person. We Christians also believe in the Messiah just as you do but we believe when he comes it will be his return to the earth to set up his kingdom, and you, the children of Israel, will be his holy people.

The Messiah along with the children of Israel will rule over all the earth. The Gentiles will serve Israel. The children of Israel will be God’s holy people. Israel will be the head and the Gentiles will be the tail. We true Christians know these things.

The prophecy in Ezekiel 38 and 39 will soon come to pass. The coalition against Israel will gather in the mountains of Israel to destroy your nation but the Lord will intervene and fight this battle for you. According to scripture, the Lord has hid his face from you for many, many years but on the day of this battle, the Lord will be among his people again and you will know that the Lord is your God. In Ezekiel 39 it says,

“22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.”

We are on your side Israel. We truly have a deep concern that you see who your Messiah is.

We are not ignorant of the holy scriptures. We know all about the Messiah, who he is, where he came from, how he became flesh born of a virgin, what he has done by paying the penalty for sin and about his return to this earth to set up his kingdom and rule over all the earth with Israel as his holy people.

Soon the Messiah will come. You know this. We know this.

Ask yourself this question: Is it possible that the Christians’ Messiah and our Messiah is the same person?

Go to your synagogues. Ask your Rabbis to teach on the Messiah. Ask them why the Messiah will be cut off but not for himself. Ask them who the suffering servant is that will die and pay for sins. Ask them if God has a son and what his name is. Ask them whom this child is that is born of a virgin, that is to rule over all the earth.

Search the scriptures. Find out as much as you can about the Messiah.

In Joel 2 it says,

“32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”

He is called many things in the old testament scriptures, the son of God, the Redeemer, the Lord of hosts, the suffering servant that died and paid for sins, the Messiah, Immanuel, the Deliverer, the Prince of Peace and so on.

In the new testament scriptures he is called, the Messiah, the Christ, the son of God, the Word, the Deliverer, the Lord Jesus Christ and so on.

He goes by many names, but he is the one that you need to call upon for deliverance – to be saved.

Now here is a verse from the new testament scriptures by the apostle Paul that we true Christians believe. Paul was a true Jew, circumcised the eighth day, born of the stock of Israel of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews. Paul said in his letter to the Romans in chapter 10,

“1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”

We true Christians have this same prayer to God for the people of Israel. One day soon, you will see that your Messiah and our Messiah is the same person.

From your friends,

The TRUE Christians

      Hello Jerry

Just wanted to thank you for a very good, clear, message to Israel and also to Christians. We as Christians, do not know the scriptures as well as we should, but can certainly ascertain the truth when it’s all summed up. Thanks for this great news media message.
      Sincerely,
      Janice Arthur at [email protected]
