(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. November 2, 2016, 8:14 AM (IDT)

In the run-up to the November 8 elections, the US Department of Homeland Security is providing security assistance to 46 states and 35 counties and local election agencies to protect voter data against hackers. Some states have already experienced cyber intrusion. Hackers raiding voting stations’ data bases could disrupt the election, create havoc by altering or deleting voter registration information – or even steal  information on individual voters with criminal intent for identity theft or other financial crimes.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
