Pentagon to test interceptor for shooting down NKorean ICBM

The US is to test for the first time an interceptor system for challenging an incoming intercontinental ballistic missile, whether from North Korea or Iran, the Pentagon reported. A new version of the single, long-range ground-based interceptor will be launched Tuesday from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California over the Pacific Ocean to shoot down a “hostile” missile launched from the Marshall Islands. This system has been criticized as so far only demonstrating limited capability to contend with small numbers of intermediate range ballistic missiles if fired from the two rogue countries.
The test comes two days after Pyongyang fired a short-range ballistic missile that traveled an estimated 248 miles before splashing down within Japan’s exclusive economic zone.

This is a stupid plan ! Trying to hit a bullet with another bullet is like playing Russian rulet . We have lazers that can cut the damn missiles in half ! Why are we about to spend billions on a system that is not fool proof ? In the 1970s I read that they had lasers that could cut down mountains . What the hell happened to them . I also saw army trucks mounted with lasers that could cut men in half . Hook up the tracking systems and mount the lasers back on them . Save America billions , maybe trillions ! Dont spend America into needless debt to build a system that we only hope can hit these missiles . Then they said we could send up several of our missiles to try and make sure we hit their missile . It only takes 1 missile exploding over America to put us into the darkages . Don’t play around with foolishness when we have proven technology that can bust it out of the sky before it gets near our shores ! Heck we can even bust it in their faces so said Reagan in the 80s .
