Russia tells US to stop striking pro-Assad forces in Syria

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov phoned US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Saturday after another US military strike on a pro-Assad force saying it was unacceptable to Moscow. According to a Russian Foreign Ministry statement, the two officials also confirmed their desire to step up cooperation to end the Syrian conflict, and discussed the need to mend the rift between Qatar and a group of Arab nations through negotiations.

Putin has a point. He’s fighting the same bad actors the US asserts they are bringing down. Attacking Assad’s forces only makes it more difficult for Syria to pull itself together and start rebuilding where the people can make a life there. The country was making great gains as a peaceful and multicultural society before the US started imposing it’s influences upon the government. No country is perfect, but Syria was much better off and moving in the right direction before America’s self righteous liberals along with the neocon’s put in their two cents worth. Thanks to the outsiders and western politicians … Syria is reduced to the rubble one finds in a rock quarry. How any of these people from the US involved in this story can still have the hubris to run for another term in office is beyond insane.
