The most damnable spin out there is that there’s a safe level of manmade radionuclides one can ingest. Not only is there no safe level, but, as the article touches on, these “safe levels” the government puts out (which have been raised and are obscenely high in the U.S.) accumulate in the body to catastrophic levels. The more low level radiation you eat, the higher the cumulative concentration in your body. It also concentrates as you move up the food chain, such as cows eating radioactive grass accumulating radiation in their tissues and milk, which people then consume and accumulate. The same in the oceans, highly radioactive sea vegetation eaten by smaller creatures that concentrate the radiation, larger creatures eating the smaller creatures, until your tuna steak may as well be glowing. Radiation in agricultural water winds up accumulating in the produce, then accumulating in you. In any event, “safe levels” of Fukushima radiation is an outright lie, as no biological scientist of any merit is really that dumb. You can also believe “they” are not making any habit of eating what they would feed you. Low level radiation is, still, a very serious problem.
