Following up this article.. Contamination level in seaside of reactor2 still increasing / 2,100,000,000 → 2,400,000,000 Bq/m3 [URL]
All β nuclide density (including Strontium-90) is still increasing in the seaside of reactor2 (As graph below). On 1/13/2014, it was 2,400,000,000 Bq/m3 but it spiked up to be 2,700,000,000 Bq/m3 on 1/16/2014.
Tepco is still repeating the same explanation that it is possibly because the groundwater pump is gathering highly contaminated water underground and denying the possibility of the new leakages.

Now here is why I am not worried…How many atomic and Hydrogen bombs get exploded between the US, France, and Asia in the Pacific about 50 years ago…And we’re still fine?

Radioactive particles from reactors are far more serious than atomic blasts. Hiroshima would be uninhabitable today if contaminated by radionuclides from a reactor, unless some really enhanced cleanup technology were invented. The gamma ray blast from a nuclear bomb has a very short life. The stuff coming out of failed reactors has a half life of months to thousands of years.
The stuff coming from a fission (atomic) bomb and a nuclear reactor is basically the same shit. It’s just that in a bomb there is around 8kg of fissile material while in a reactor there could be 100,000kg (although only a small proportion is actually fission products at any one time).
Now fusion (hydrogen) bombs are different in that the majority of the yield comes from fusion of two hydrogen isotopes to helium. Of course even a hydrogen bomb needs a fission bomb to get the nuclear fusion reaction started…
Its not the same thing man..read a little…then worry when you understand the difference.
