MTECHTIPS-U S .crude stocks rose more than expected in the latest week, official data showed Wednesday. The EIA said crude stocks rose by 2.432 mn barrels after a huge rise of 14.420 mn barrels the previous week. Crude inventories were forecast to rise by 1.330 mn barrels. Gasoline stocks fell by 2.841 mn barrels after a drop of 2.207 mn barrels the previous week. Gasoline inventories were forecast to fall by 1.025 mn barrels.
U.S. crude was down 0.13% at $44.92 after data release.
