Hundreds of dead birds in SD were poisoned by USDA…

In one of the latest stories of bird deaths, USDA is saying the birds were poisoned — or, at least the birds in South Dakota. According to government officials, a local farmer was having trouble with starlings defecating in his feed meal. The U.S. Department of Agriculture decided to kill the birds, due to health concerns.

When asked how the poisoned birds could have died so far away from the farm in question — a good 10 miles away — the USDA folks simply said they were “surprised.”
