Storyline

A minke whale was found dead on the sand beach of Chibiaowei Island Monday in Fuqing City, Fujian Province.
 
The whale was spotted lying on the sand beach at about 07:00 by a local fisherman who called the police and the local fishing department. The whale was about 2.62 meters long and 0.55 meter wide with an estimated weight of 200 kilograms. Its back, tail and eyes were all hurt and some parts began to rot.

This whale was a newly-born one, which is under second class protection in China. This kind of whale usually lives alone or in group of two or three. … See video at site:
