A HUMPBACK whale has been found dead in an ocean pool on Sydney’s northern beaches this morning.
Early morning swimmers arrived at Newport Beach’s ocean pool to find the whale floating in the water.

ORCA volunteer Wendy McFarlane said the whale rescue organisation received a call from a staff member from Pittwater Council reporting the dead whale just before 7am.

Ms McFarlane said the whale was an adult humpback which appeared to be dead for several days.
“There were some pretty big seas last night and Mother Nature wouldn’t have had a problem dragging in a whale that big into a man-made ocean pool,” said McFarlane. … continue … story & Pic’s
