15-Foot Whale Washes Up in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey

Officials are performing an autopsy on a whale that washed up on a beach in Wildwood Crest.
The dead whale was found Sunday morning around 7 a.m. on Syracuse Street and the beach. A spokesperson from the Marine Mammal Stranding Center says that the animal is a “pilot whale.”
Officials say the whale is 15-feet long. They are currently performing an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
