Maimstream media Is used to Divide the Population

What in the Hell is Wrong With the Mainstream Media??

I may be a tiny bit biased against the mainstream media, but the things they publish and call “news” these days is sickening. I will use the recent story in the Huffington Post as an example. The headling shouted in bold print thet Secret Service Agents were found to be employing prostitutes for their services. Really? With all the news which goes unreported in the world today, really important news, like the Congress passing laws which are blatently unConstitutional, or laws which take away the right to protest these same politicians, or laws which make America look more like North Korea than the place I grew up in and love dearly.

Are we as a Nation so wrapped up in our I Pads and Smart Phones that we fail to notice what is going on? The entire time the real Terrorists (Politicians of all stripes) are passing laws which violate personal freedoms ,as well as the fundamental principles which this country was founded upon, the so called ‘Media is reporting stories which are nothing more than unimportant fluff. Men and women have been doing what they do for thousands of years. Men pay one way or another for the company of a woman. If some people just bring the transaction to a more direct conclusion, what business is it of ours? Whether we agree or not, this is not news, and should not be illegal due to the waste of resources which could be better spent. The ‘authorities’ hsve never been able to stop the oldest profession in the world, so live and let live. The religious fanatics of every stripe have always attemptyed to impose these flawed moral restrictions about their concept of ‘Sin’ on the rest of the populace. Abortion, drinking, drug use, smoking, pornography…all moral issues which are not things the government should be meddeling in. The media reports these hot button items and cause the population to be so divided that they can not agree on anything. Then your elected officials use these irrelevant issues to keep you occupied as they screw everyone in every way they can. The Republicans who claim to be defenders of civil rights, and who falsely claim they oppose big government, blame Obama for signing the draconian Legislation they passed. The NDAA and the Patriot Act and the recent anti -protest law disguised in a grounds maintrenence bill were all passed with both parties blessing. In fact there were only a few legislators who havbe steadfastly voted in lined with the Oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.
I would rather they kept the freedoms this Country was founded with, and the subsequent risk from supposed terrorists, than have the power hungry politicians and their puppetmasters steal out rights in the name of ‘peace andn security!’ I am not a believer in fairy tales and myths, but I have read extensively, so for all you Christians, I challange you to get your Bible’s out and look up what your book says regarding when they begin doing things in the name of ‘peace and security.” What the book says is interesting and deserves a reading. Just grab a concordence and look it up.
The government should be doing things like:

Making sure everyone gets a college education so we can compete in the world’s Marketplace;

Making sure Drug companies do not gouge us for medications… The same drugs they gouge for here are half the price in Canada;

Building Housing for everyone, as opposed to bombing everyone so the Military Industrial Complex can get rich using your children as cannon fodder for no good reason.

Promoting peace and well being ,rather than bombing everyone they falsely claim is a threat;

Proving Medical coverage for every citizen instead of spending billions on rebuilding Countries we bombed;

There are enough resources in the world for everyone, but in our system of Stock Markets and corrupt politicos, the incentive is on bilking every dollar out of the working man so the rich who run the world can get richer.

I don’t have the answers, but I know what we have been doing does not work. Greed and apathy are killing our Country. Quit participating in the ignorance and demand better. I thing anything my neighbor is doing is his business, as long as he is not harming another. Live and let live. and demand the crooks in washington and the media quit using distraction techniques on the populace….educate yourselves in the art of critical thinking instead of blindly following the party line. Remember compromise and the center??
