Trump Body Slams His Critics

The litany of epithets and insults delivered by MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski truly plumbs the depths of depravity.   Their verbal tirade is all the more remarkable when one considers the fact that they are referring to the President of the United States.  While it is true that Donald Trump does not reflect the smooth, polished mannerisms of his animatronic predecessor, Scarborough and Brzezinski’s steady torrent of vituperative bile truly knows no precedent in the annals of broadcasting.

A brief listing of their encyclopedia of insults regarding our 45^th President will make it clear to all but the most obtuse that any semblance of objectivity one might hope or expect to find in their commentary has been totally replaced by naked, partisan hatred. 

Over the past few weeks, these “media analysts” have labeled President Trump, in no particular order: a schmuck, a jackass, a liar, a dictator, vulgar, physically disgusting, a thug, a pig, stupid, a narcissist, mentally ill, insane, irrational, a bumbling dope and demented.  Is it any wonder, then, that President Trump finally reached his limits of tolerance and decided to “tweek” the noses of love birds Scarborough and Brzezinski by describing their hypocritical attempts to curry favor with him at his Mar y Lago resort during the New Year holiday?

Trump’s tweet of retaliation – to deflate the hot air from these two pompous bleeding-heart windbags—happened in conjunction with his comical WWE wrestling “throw down” of Vince McMahon with his head disguised as the CNN logo.

Observers of political decorum, almost universally from the left end of the political spectrum, were aghast to see President Trump finally respond to the hosts of  “Morning Joe’s” constant stream of verbal abuse, along with CNN’s unending innuendo and non-sourced “scoops” alluding to collusion with the Russian government.   There is no truer epithet than to label CNN “fake news”, a mantle with which President Trump has correctly adorned this network for their constant barrage of erroneous allegations that they have been forced to repeatedly retract.

Yet the main stream liberal media continue to moan that such retaliation by President Trump is somehow “non-presidential”, and that it indicates that he is not seriously working for the American people.  How ironic that this criticism emanates from the political left-wing universe that could not bear to criticize President Obama’s 8 year golf vacation, his active subversion of constitutional law or his naked pandering to inflame racial and ethnic divisions within the United States.

With just two “tweets”, President Trump laid the torch of ridicule to these two little fiefdoms, and in the process revealed once again that he will not be a punching bag for liberal lies and abuse.   In this minor political episode, we can relish the fact that we finally have a President who not only disdains the fashion of being politically correct; he is also unafraid to hold up for ridicule the critics who have – in an unending display of partisan rancor – attacked him and his family without mercy or decency since his inauguration.

President Trump’s response was both poetically fitting and politically proper in the context of the morass of the media swamp he navigates on a daily basis.   Let us hope he will continue in this fashion, and puncture the pious balloons of pompous liberal progressives whenever he has another opportunity!
