The Full Moon completes the cycle of creation, manifestation, birth and rebirth – representing death, change and tying up of loose ends. The Full Moon symbolizes the end chapter, shedding light on the things that we no longer need to hold on to.

It’s a Full Moon and Eclipse (Dec 10/11th, 2011) to shake us awake mentally, physically and spiritually.  Sun and Moon are at 18 Gemini and Sagittarius, two mutable signs of ever expanding perception.

At the Full Moon, there’s often an illumination. With anchoring planets in earth signs, and Mars aspects to the Moon’s Nodes, the revelations could be a whole body experience.

The Gemini-Sagittarius line of energy is freeing, mentally stimulating, quick.

December’s Full Moon is named the Full Cold Moon.

Nights have become longer and dark. The Winter cold is setting in.
It is also called the Long Nights Moon by some Native American tribes.

The Full Moon is an opportune time of the month for rituals of Letting Go.

The light the full moon offers illuminates those things that are interfering with our spiritual advancements. Once we have become enlightened to ways that are blocking us, the easier to let go. A metaphysical full moon ritual is for releasing or purging the things in our lives that no longer serve us.

Try this simple method for Releasing.

Either get outside to see the moon, or look at it out a window,
or just close your eyes and visualize the full moon bursting with light.

Slow your breathing to enter a light meditative state by breathing in at the count of
4, hold for 4, exhale to 4. Once you’ve entered your meditative state, depending on
where you are, either say out loud, or whisper your Release for Letting Go
whenever you stand beneath the full moon.
