Fear is nothing more than manifesting experiences that will NEVER occur in the manner you expect it to.

That’s it. There is nothing more to it. It seems our whole lives are controlled by this emotion – we can’t work well, our minds are not focused, we ignore our family and obligations and our demeanor gets depressing to look at.

When we ponder on what might be (but never will) we are contemplating fear in our minds – it’s constant and overwhelming. We become controlled by a series of imaginations and seldom are in the moment.

The worst part is these emotions bleed out to your physical being and subtly affect those around you. Hence people will avoid you because they don’t want to feel and experience the same emotions as you do – you will feel alone which will further give rise to more fear.

The key to tackling fear is to be convinced in the fact that whatever it is you are losing sleep over is never going to pan out like the way you have scripted in your mind. Usually it’s much more positive. How can you be convinced you ask? Well experience for one. Look back at previous events in your life where you were worried sick before the event actually took place. You came out ok – you are alive and well!

Another factor is to consider that fear is regenerative – if you don’t take steps to control it ASAP it gets worse and worse. Meditation helps (a lot), so does competitive exercise and social interactions. Push yourself out of your comfort zone on a daily basis. Do something you would not normally do, break the habits of your old self. This way you are not creating an identity based on fear, but always reinventing yourself for the better.
