Villisca Part III

This weekend we visited The Villisca Axe Murder House for the third time. The first time was absolutely awesome. We had family members answering, information on the murders, and answers to our questions that were clear and decisive. We had little children singing and talking. We had a VERY creepy house full of things including what we assumed to be the axe murderer. A spirit who interacted both verbally and physically.

This trip was totally different, the one before, also was. There was a lot of spirit activity, but it wasn’t all that nice.There were lots of names given and different voices on the voice box, but no real communication. No answers to questions. There were a few “F*&$ you”s and other swear words. There were mostly men’s voices. There was no response to questions, especially about the murder.

We had stomps upstairs (probably the “murderer” who is still there); creaks; people getting touched; strange light anomalies (most of which were blue for some reason). We have yet to really go over any evidence, so I can’t say if we caught anything or not, but the feel of the place is entirely different.

I don’t even believe the family is still there. I didn’t feel them , get any response form them, or any evidence of them that night. When a house if full of creepy men, a mother spirit may take her children and moved on.

Some groups have come into the house with all kinds of things, and doing all kinds of rituals etc. None of this is allowed, but that doesn’t stop people. Someone may have crossed the spirits of the family over, which is nice, but again, against the policy of the house. After all what good is a haunted house without spirits. The spirits that are there now are basically low life idiots. Now that means you can have a haunt, but when you have spirits that just tell you to “F*&^ off”, then that one sound bite isn’t worth the trip. We had several spirits give names, or curse at us, but no real communication as in responding to questions. This happens when people go into places and try to bring spirits in. They do seances and bring in Ouiji boards to contact spirits. When you are in a genuine haunted site, a seance and a Ouiji Board (NEVER USE THEM) are totally unnecessary. However there are a bunch of folks running around out there that do not have a clue.

There isn’t a “Ghost investigation” test that you have to take before entering a haunted site, so many of these sites are getting ruined by those with good (and bad),  intent that don’t understand what they are doing, nor care. They also don’t seem to care what the “house rules” are. They figure they are there to make decisions for the owners on what the house should be like.NO site that does these tours allows Ouiji boards, rituals, crossing over rituals, etc…..NONE.

The Villisca house is still haunted, but not half as much fun as it used to be. Many haunted sites are now making sure they have a guide with groups at all times, this is to make sure nothing is ruined, including the integrity of the site as a haunted site. Some places are insisting that you belong to a paranormal group. I am not sure how they can prove that and after all, belonging to a paranormal group doesn’t make you smart and responsible. I have seen paranormal groups use flashlights for communication (no it doesn’t work AT ALL), and claim that the red area of a K2 indicates a demon (more likely a normal electrical source). I know a group who “sets up angels” at every site they investigate (really, when did they get that permission, right and power???) So there are the uninformed out there with club shirts on…..it doesn’t make a difference.

 I just hope people will LEARN and stop doing ANYTHING at a site EXCEPT investigating.

Unfortunately it is too late for Villisca. The atmosphere and opportunity for a good INVESTIGATION into the murders, rather than a just a “haunt”,  is lost. Maybe I will find evidence of the family on my voice recorder or DVR, but it was much more interesting and enjoyable to communicate with them in the past rather than the “F bombs” of the present.

When you want to visit a site, get there before some well meaning person ruins it!
