A 1972 Campaign Button: Nobody Drowned at Watergate!

I received the following email from a neighbor and close friend of mine, which tells an interesting story as related to the Benghazi-gate Affair.

Hey Bob,

I must send this to you before it is too late!  Two weeks ago, we were at the airplane hangar that Barb’s dad had owned for the last 40 years, which he had used as a shop and for storage.  As you know, he passed away a few months ago, so we have been going through his belongings to clean up and liquidate everything of no value.  One of the interesting facts about Lou Conde (Barb’s dad) is that he was a Cuban immigrant, and he was the county supervisor who was ousted by the then very dishonest and liberal Roger Hedgecock (who is now a very conservative and great person).

Lou Conde was also a die-hard conservative and constitutionalist who used everything he could to promote conservative ideas and values to everyone.  He loved the country and hated what Obama is doing to it.  He was very active in Reagan’s campaign, and we have quite a bit of political memorabilia.  Something that we came across was a campaign button from the early 1970s that says the following: “Nobody drowned at Watergate!”  Megan is going to use that in her government class at school, but I began thinking about it and what it really meant.

Most people do not even remember how a couple of years earlier, a drunken Ted Kennedy drove off the small bridge near his home into the Chappaquiddick River.  He left in the car his mistress, Mary Jo Kopechne, who drowned, after which he then stumbled home.  He remained the U.S. Senator from Massachusetts until his death few years ago!  Nothing ever happened to him resulting from that affair!  It is amazing how the left wing, biased media only goes after and reports on things that would help liberals and hurt conservatives.

Watergate—phone taps to listen in on what Democratic National Committee (DNC) was planning?  How petty!  You sure do not need phone taps to know what Democrats are going to do!  Then, you have Chappaquiddick, followed by Lewinski, and now Benghazi!  People died at Benghazi!  The morals of our country died with Bill Clinton and the Lewinski affair.

The point is this: we must distribute all of this information to wake up the American people as to the outright embarrassment this administration is to our country, to the liberals, and to the mainstream (rather lame-stream) media.  Please pass this along!  The irony is that Senator John McCain had mentioned this last Sunday, and nobody caught it!  He changed the words a little bit and said, “No one died at Watergate!”  That statement is even better than the one on the 1972 campaign button that I have in my possession and have been wearing.
