US Military Drills In Mideast Waters
Noting that the US-led military maneuvers would mainly focus on fighting against the threat of sea mines, Israeli media reports claimed Tuesday that 20 nations will take part in the drills, which are reportedly due sometime in the current year.
The reports further added that the objective of the US-led war games would be to conduct mine sweeping exercises, considering the possibility that Iran would engage in mining marine waters in a move to avert military threats from the United States or the Israeli regime.
There has been no confirmation of these Israeli news reports, however, in US-based media outlets.
While the US and Israeli officials have been repeatedly threatening Iran with military strikes over its nuclear energy program, many former and current lawmakers in Washington and Tel Aviv have cautioned of an ensuing catastrophe in the region in case of any attack against the Islamic Republic with drastic global consequences for American and Zionist interests.
Iranian authorities, meanwhile, have warned that if any attack against the country materialized by the US or the Tel Aviv regime, the first outcome would be the total destruction of the Israeli entity.
