This footage is taken from a pro-Morsi demonstration in Egypt after the Egyptian military intervened on behalf of the millions of Egyptians who demanded an end to the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. While addressing Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, the Egyptian commander-in-chief, Wahhabis who support Morsi vow to become suicide bombers that will target secularists, Christians, Shiites, and all other opposition forces. A Wahhabi lady covered in black vowed to burn her Christian compatriots.
The Salafi Jihadi organization in Sharqiya, President Morsy’s hometown, released a statement declaring “
war against the Armed Forces” in support of the president. The group accused the military of turning against Morsy and siding with “the evil forces of the opposition that are affiliated with the West.” The brother of Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, who lives in Egypt, has vowed to engage in armed struggle.
Ominous signs that a civil war in Egypt is inevitable. Egypt has actually been really very stable during these tumultous times these past few years. Contrary to other arab spring nations, they have not devolved into armed fighting and sectarianism. They have maintained the peace for the most part. This however is different. With last nights attacks on Eilat, Israel and several Egyptian army checkpoints in the Sinai Peninsula by Sinai Jihadists, that could be the start of something like Syria in Egypt. Egypt has the biggest population in the middle east and a very large Christian Copt community. Egypt also has one of the biggest and best militaries in the Middle East.
