Syrian Army And Hizballah Capture Homs – Opening Way To Aleppo And Decisive Assad Victory

Three months after winning the strategic town of Al Qusayr, the combined Syrian and Hizballah armies have captured the historic Muslim Brotherhood city of Homs, 162 kilometers northeast of the capital Damascus. DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report that Sunday, July 28, jeeps with recoilless guns, pick-up trucks with anti air guns – all loaded with defeated rebel Farouq Brigades fighters were to be seen fleeing the city. As they fled, Syrian and Hizballah army tanks facing no resistance rolled into the center of Homs, the old city and the Khladiyeh district and hoisted images of President Bashar Assad.

The fall of Homs, which the rebels designated from the start of the uprising “capital of the revolution,” opens the way for Syrian-Hizballah forces to move north on Aleppo, Syria’s largest city. Aleppo’s capture would grant Assad a decisive victory in the civil war and confer on the Lebanese Shiite terrorist Hizballah for the first time the standing of an armed force with strategic capabilities, as well as giving the Iran-Syrian-Hizballah alliance a major boost.

This is a huge victory for Assad and for the ‘Eurasian alliance” who I will remind you also beat the western alliance in Georgia in 2008. This is a huge blow for the al-qaeda led rebellion. They and their western backers will be hard pressed to spin this in a positive light. Qusayr was touted as Assad’s Stalingrad and so far, it has indeed been that. Assad’s army, with few exceptions, have been on the march to victory. Kurd forces too have been beating rebel unts in the northeastand pushing them out of key border towns. -Mort

Syrian Army and Hezbollah are doing a great Job …in other words Kicking Asses of… U.S, Britain, France, Germany, Canada , Europe , western civilization, Saudi Arabia, Qatar ( Salafi’s of Arab states like GCC) BACKED …Free Syrian Terrorists Thugs …Domineering and intimidation are two of the main challenges of the current international system of governance, which the United States dominates… In this system, there is almost no room for justice, and the notion is only an ornament used to cover up the domineering policies of the major EVIL powers…The proposal to designate Hezbollah as a terrorist group was ratified by the EU after claims were made that the group was assisting the Syrian government’s offensive against the terrorists fighting in the city of al-Qusayr… This is ridiculous because southern Lebanon is exposed to a huge risk of a spillover of the violence from neighboring Syria, and Hezbollah believes it is responsible for defending the territory against any threats… How can this be called terrorism? Assad has proven to up to par as a good leader for Syria, he hung in there when others deserted like cowards and rats on a sinking ship. I am no fan of Iran or Hezbollah, in fact I despise Hezbollah with every fiber in my body, but I actually despise Al-Qaida and it’s Wahhabi Sunni Saudi Arabian backers even more. My hope is that Assad’s men can surround the Saudi Foreign Legion of Al-Qaida & Bosnian Mercenaries in a pocket and than wipe them out completely. According to this story Assad’s forces did screw up, his air units should have been pounding the living day lights out of the retreating forces like what the US did to Saddam’s retreating Republican Guard in Kuwait.
