Sources told Egypt Independent that Russian President Vladimir Putin called for an extraordinary session at the Russian Kremlin to discuss the situation in Egypt and take the necessary steps to put the Russian military facilities “at the Egyptian military’s disposal”. Putin will discuss Russian arrangements for joint-military exercises with the Egyptian army according to source.
These developments come after US President Barak Obama’s announcement that the U.S. is calling off joint military exercises with Egypt and threatening with further steps.

A small-scale civil war becomes a much bigger proxy war between opposing foreign forces. We’ve seen it over and over again – throughout Central and South America, Southeast Asia, and now the Middle East. It’s time for the superpowers – the U.S., Russia, China – to start acting responsibly by putting aside geopolitical opportunism by armed intervention in local conflicts.

I read where the Arab States are providing 12 billion dollars to Egypt. Article did not say which side? This must present some conflict. Most if not all of these States are Sunnis. The Muslim Brotherhood is also Sunnis but a known enemy of the Saudis. The Egypt being reborn is looking to be a Modern State but in what manner? No one appears to know, or just not talking. I’ll rephrase that last bit. Russia has gone to war, but they haven’t started any.
The cold war was started by Britain when they shared nuclear technology with Russia. During WW2 Britain captured German scientists, the nuclear scientists were sent to America so they could carry on working without fear of recapture, and the rocket scientists were sent to Russia for the same reason. America refused to share the information so Britain had to work it out from scratch.
