Unusual Bomber Activity: Captain USAF Ret. Discusses 'What The Bomber Practice' 'Green Flag' Going on At Nellis Is All About

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Steve Quayle Alert

In re the alert of groups of three bombers at Nellis AFB. This is the
classic Vietnam war Arc Light grouping. They would be practicing for
conventional attack, either high or low level, against targets in the open.

Background: Captain, USAF (Ret.) 1150 hours B-52G instructor navigator with
20 combat missions over Laos and Cambodia. Well familiar with this tactic.
QUESTION –WHO ARE THE INTENDED TARGETS–YARD FARMING?

Highly Unusual Bomber Activity at Nellis AFB-Nevada

Hi Steve

I don’t know if anyone has noticed any unusual activity at any of the other Air Force bases, but I live right by Nellis AFB in Las Vegas and have been watching something I have never seen in the 5 years I have lived here. I live right on the flight path, and when jets take off they all fly low right over my house, heading out to the Nevada Training and Testing Range just north of Vegas. I always see F-15′s, F-16′s, F-22′s, etc. We have no bombers stationed here, but see them a couple times a year during red flag exercises. When they come here it is always 1 or 2 bombers, and always EITHER B-1′s or B-2′s, not both. I have never seen more than one type of bomber at a time here. We don’t have another red flag coming up until mid-July. Last week and so far this week we have seen 3 types of bombers, all heading out to the NTTR on practice missions. Twice a day we are seeing 3 B-52′s, 3 B-2 stealths and 3 B-1 lancers. Like I said, I have never seen more than 1 kind of bomber here at a time, so this is highly, highly unusual, and also that they are sending out 3 of each at the same time. I have only seen a B-52 a couple of times, as they rarely come, but they are all going out together. I can’t help but wonder if we are practicing up for some serious bombing in readiness for something. I have also noticed they are practicing with a Navy recon plane. This is also highly unusual. I normally see the Air Force one fly out. I am curious if other Air Force Bases are seeing the same thing.

Thanks for all you do, Steve. You are more appreciated (and needed) than you know. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. God Bless!

SECOND CONFIRMATION–If Navy planes scouting for AF bombers that is only..ONLY….done in
nuclear payload missions.

They are readying for all out.

In mid 90′s we only did dry runs once the entire decade.that was a joint
maneuver with other nations…in australia durng Op Tandem Thrust 1997
