Obama Ignores Congress Again to Launch Syria Attack with No Legal Basis

Obama has traditionally mistrusted his miliary, so the above headline smacks of a possible sidewinder attitude by the military advsors he apparently chooses to ignore.

One of the classic “Rules of Engagement” is that war is a last resort. Another is that it must have a ”Just Cause” and still another, have “a realistic chance of success”.

The unannounced and undeclared war on sovereign Syrian territory, seems in military terms, likely only to fan the already burning flames of the middle east, fueling the “David and Goliath” camp that knows David cannot win.

Today’s asymmetrical warfare, with the most powerful nations on earth, using the latest weapons technology against radical religious minorities with virtual “bow and arrow” technology assisted by literally cutthroat terror, has made classical warfare obsolete, along with the nation-states that once waged them.

Today it is blatant in-your-face bullying resource acquisition and the wealth made from the manufacture of almost instantly obsolete weaponry much of which is apparently sold off to American school police forces – Tom Dennen.

And yet, “President Barack Obama has once again flagrantly violated the U.S. constitution by launching air strikes on Syrian territory under the justification of an illegal framework and with no Congressional input whatsoever.

In a move that threatens to enflame the entire region, Washington launched a wave of Tomahawk cruise missile attacks against ISIS targets late last night. Early reports indicate that eight civilians, including three children, were killed during an aerial bombardment on the city of Raqqa.
