Obama: Cry for Me America!

Recently, soon to be ex- President Barack Obama and VA Secretary McDonald presented a practical example of “Cry for me America” analogy: Obama is to Military as McDonald is to Veterans.

 The demonstration started with Obama´s “kind of sentimental” December 6^th “the last Hail to the Chief” https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/12/06/remarks-president-administrations-approach-counterterrorism  in Florida´s MacDill Airforce Base, and was followed by a curious plea by “hundreds of thousands Veterans” to President Elect to “keep” Robert McDonald as VA Secretary http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/12/us/veterans-groups-urge-trump-to-keep-obamas-va-secretary.html?_r=0 .

After habitual bombastic warm up and self-congratulatory remarks on “progress” nota bene in countries that over the last 8 years plunged into the nightmare of war, the departing president gave a lecture on how” to pursue a smart strategy that can be sustained”. 

In his speech Obama didn´t limit himself to the usual number one and number two, but gave as many as 6 directives to “his Military”. Assuming that “the uniformed folks” are already heartbroken over his departure, Barack Hussain Obama reminded them about duty of finding fault with the new guy on the block: “The universal right to speak your mind and to protest against authority, to live in a society that´s open and free, that can criticize a President without retribution…”

The “soldiers want me to stay forever” tone intensifies in “Remarks by the President to Thank Service Members” https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/12/06/remarks-president-thank-service-members .The transcript is more melodramatic than scenario to “Gone with the Wind” and embellished with hysterical performance from an “Audience Member” professing his love to Obama.

While BHO was savoring his own joke: “For Michelle and myself, the lease is running out on our apartment”, a frantic “Audience Member” was reportedly soliciting:” Renew it!”

The nation´s “largest Veteran groups” are said to be as enamored with VA Secretary McDonald as “Audience Members” are with Obama. Even if a choir of” thousands of Veterans” is allegedly petitioning President Elect Donald Trump to re-appoint the disgraced VA Secretary, it seems that voice of Robert McDonald himself is echoing somewhere in the background: “Hello, is it me you´re looking for…”

The executive director of Amvets , Joe Chenelly says: ”We all want McDonald”, but some of the organizations listed as “begging” for sparing McDonald´s throne are vehemently rejecting these allegations http://www.veteransresources.org/2016/12/pva-executive-director-corrects-record-support-va-secretary-trump-administration/#.WFmfuVyFl_l   .

It looks like the “Audience Members” and “hundreds of thousands of Veterans” who find it difficult to say good bye to Obama and McDonald belong to the same “majority” which was to elect Hillary Clinton unanimously.

 Why would American soldiers grieve after Obama? Because they consider that no hand on heart during National Anthem is a cool gesture? Because they think that Fort Hood was “workplace violence”, Benghazi makes no difference and Leavenworth Ten /military/2014/03/not-your-pawns-not-your-chessboard-2460228.html  committed crime of legitimate defense?

As for Veterans they are probably worrying that the wait time could shorten and our heroes won´t die with maggots in their wounds http://townhall.com/columnists/erielledavidson/2016/12/19/trumps-test-why-secretary-of-veteran-affairs-must-be-top-priority-n2261269  if “beloved” Secretary McDonald can´t spend billions of dollars on art.

Or are Veterans upset because VA police won´t have enough time to arrest them and place Old Glory in the “evidence room” http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/news/i-am-innocent-not-guilty ?

Taking into consideration that Obama is to Military as McDonald is to Veterans, isn´t the claim that “uniformed America” will uniformly miss the departing administration analogously preposterous?
