Honda Amaze Diesel to get 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine

Honda Brio based diesel sedan, which has been christened as Honda Amaze is creating buzz for a couple of month and everyone is getting curious to know more and more about this. So, here we bring exciting news about Honda Amaze; the Honda Amaze will house Honda’s new all aluminium 1.5-litre i-DTEC turbocharged diesel engine. It is the same engine that is to power all of Honda India’s future diesel cars like the Honda City, Jazz and their upcoming MPV.

There are also reports coming that the Honda Amaze is going to be launched on 23^rd November, however the car will be launched in India by April, 2013. As we have already reported that the car will be a sub-four meter compact sedan; it has an increased wheelbase of 50mm and the overall length is 3990mm making the Honda Amaze sub 4-meters.  The Amaze will be produced locally, so Honda can price it more competitively. The Amaze will first come in a manual transmission variant and then later on, an automatic transmission variant will be introduced. The car will fall into entry level sedan segment and like to rival segment leader Swift Dzire and for this it have to be affordable, frugal and performance oriented.
