Next-Generation Ford Fiesta Unveiled

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Ford has disclosed four variants of the most recent era Fiesta hatchback – Titanium, a plush Vignale version, a sporty ST-Line variant and a chunky ‘Active’ crossover version – at an uncommon occasion in Cologne, Germany.

The front grille is similar to that of the latest Focus, while the headlights look like softened and shrunken versions of the outgoing Fiesta’s.

General measurements look somewhat bigger than the predecessor’s, supporting prior data that the model will offer more lodge space. Previous spy shots also indicate that rear end will showcase new horizontal tail-lights as well.

The inside of the new Fiesta is a radical takeoff from that of the present one. The most obvious new addition is a ‘floating’ infotainment interface which is much larger than the button-controlled screen in the current Fiesta.

Other features on the car include Ford‘s SYNC 3 infotainment system, and a plush B&O Play Sound stereo.

For now, the range is crowned by a new five-door ST-Line version, which also previews how the full ST model will look. It sits on 10-spoke alloy wheels and wears sporty bumpers and side skirts, and appears slightly more toned down than the current-generation ST models.

By including the Active and rich Vignale renditions of the new Fiesta, Ford will have the capacity to cast its net into a far more noteworthy pool of potential purchasers.

Ford hasn’t disclosed much about the car’s technical specifications, but a range of small-capacity turbocharged three- and four-cylinder engines seems most probable.

The Fiesta ST extend topper is probably going to hold a supported 1.6-litre engine at the same time, similar to alternate motors in the range, it’ll deliver more power than before alongside lower discharges.

In India, Ford ended the Fiesta in September a year ago and as of now doesn’t appear to have any arrangements for a substitution. The carmaker, nonetheless, plans to give its reduced SUV, the EcoSport a facelift with the progressions seen on the model that made its introduction universally a couple of weeks prior.
