Elon Musk’s Neuralink actively hiring in attempt to bolster staff

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Elon Musk is looking to add more people to his Neuralink team so that he can expedite the connection of human brains and computers.

Musk’s Neuralink, which develops “ultra high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces,” has a bevy of full-time positions open at its San Francisco headquarters.

“No neuroscience experience is required: talent and drive matter far more. We expect most of our team to come from other areas and industries,” the homepage of the Neuralink website says. “We are primarily looking for evidence of exceptional ability and a track record of building things that work.”

Neuralink is filling the following positions: Electrical Engineer (Robotics), Hardware Systems Engineer (PCB/EE/Firmware), Mechanical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Software Engineer of Embedded Systems & Firmware and Software Engineer of Infrastructure & Tooling.

The company offers benefits including growth potential, flexible PTO policy, medical and dental insurance through a PPO plan, 401k, stock options, and my personal favorite, lunch and snacks while at work.

Neuralink is Musk’s attempt and making the human mind sharper and quicker, as well as combat some serious neural diseases.

“We are aiming to bring something to market that helps with certain severe brain injuries (stroke, cancer lesion, congenital) in about four years,” Musk said in a previous report.

The company was first unveiled in March of this year as Musk’s giant first step toward merging humans with software to keep abreast of artificial intelligence innovations.

In the grand scheme of Musk’s futuristic puzzle, Neuralink would supply the technology to enhance human brains and prevent an artificial intelligence armageddon.

Musk’s other companies all have a fairly strong link to AI as well. Tesla’s Autopilot utilizes it, a side motivation for SpaceX is having an escape route if technology goes rogue, and OpenAI is a governing agency to ensure that AI is used safely.

All in all, Neuralink is undergoing a growth spurt right now, and it will be interesting to see where the company and its ideas go next.
