K-T And Culture

I believe a part of the current romanticism about the nations lends itself to cultural decline, not just the curiosity but the pandering to it – a notion that somehow we hold secret arcane metaphysical truths that will transform the world- save it from itself.

These can only be what we have historically believed-as the changes that are taking place re the inclusion of the new age bs and the expectations are recent.

Beliefs that once were demonized as ignorant, heretical, and even satanic.

Beliefs that we must be disabused of by generations of black robes , laws  enacted prohibiting the practice of ceremonies, and the boarding schools.

We, and our beliefs are the new toy,  something novel, perhaps even the latest app-apps that are being marketed by a bevy of liars and outright frauds in our midst.

In this marketing they strive to add as many bells and whistles as they can in an attempt to be inclusive, to acquire a larger market share.

To this end we see like titles  like “chief of chiefs”, dvds containing the “secret teachings”, “books” like Means laughable “if you’ve forgotten the name of the clouds yada, yada, and the inclusion of people in ceremonies never intended for them being portrayed as the fulfilment of prophecies- a mandate-seventh generation, the “rainbow warriors/tribe, and all that.

To me it is like a tourist visiting the Petrified Forest-despite their “awe”, professed respect, and laws prohibiting such, they invariably pick up a piece they can’t resist, in effect stealing and removing it from it’s rightful place.

They can display it to others and attempt to describe the forest but in having been removed it can never convey the essence, and it is little more than a curiosity.

Some sixty five million years ago scientist say the earth was struck but a huge asteroid six miles wide that devastated much of the planet and altered the course of life.

This is commonly referred to as the K-T event. I submit that this rampant intrusion, marketing of ceremonies, and traditions is the equivalent, an  asteroid impacting the nations and in a cultural sense equally as devastating.

What life remained was forced to adapt, and in that adaptation underwent various mutations.The same process is under way among the nations-it is a process referred to as assimilation.

Mutations were an inevitable part of the process following K-T, these mutations can be seen among the nations in the loss of language, the corruption and marketing of ceremonies, and perhaps more commonly in the prevalence of gangs, alcohol and substance abuse, rampant crime, and mutants who have arisen among us claiming to be representative and yet reflect little or nothing about who we are.

We seem to be having a great deal of difficulty in saving ourselves-a real stretch to me for these curiosity seekers to expect us to save them as well. Or maybe they think in their selfish arrogance they will save us.
