Every once in a while, I try to remember that being a human being means reminding myself that we are all capable of fault and poor choices and we are all capable of rehabilitation and in that vein I often attempt to reach out to those who were in and around my mothers 72 hour execution ordeal in an effort to build a bridge for discussion and healing. This week that failed miserably yet again.

People tend to hate so much that the toxicity has gotten the best of some in our communities and they are blinded by that hate and I fear in some cases by their own guilt that they can no longer see the difference between right and wrong or those asking for help or offering help. I have been labeled FED, FBI pawn and fed sympathizer because I do not extend my energy in hating on the government.

Let it be known I will never extend my valuable energy that I can use to help our missing and murdered women hating on idiots I know are not worth my time. I have every reason to hate after what happened to my mother on all sides of the fence but what my mother taught me was to speak the truth and in that truth any animosity and ill will is bound to be redirected towards the positive of helping our selves and our nations. I have never allowed the government to define me , and I have never allowed them to tell me where or how to live. I grew up colonized, I know that, but I never forgot who I was , I never forgot where I came from and I know where I am going.

I also know that murdering one of your own women and lying about it for 37 years is wrong. That being said for decades now I have been told and recommended ( usually by those sympathizers and supporters of my mothers murderers and those complicit in her murder) that I need to forgive and forget the past and leave it in the past with regards to my mothers murder.

The journey to seek justice for my mother Annie Mae was about justice healing and moving forward, not about living in the past. But to FORGET? How do you forget a gapping hole in your life? FORGIVE? how do you forgive something people are still actively lying about who then hypocritically surround themselves with advocacy groups that focus on fighting for justice for missing and murdered women? How do you leave something in the past that is still occurring today in our own backyards? Some may be able to numb themselves and point fingers and blame others like the feds or colonization for such an injustice, and 30 years ago that may have worked and it did in fact give those who murdered my mother their freedom for 25 years.

The truth has now been exposed and the facts are available to the public and four trials have proven that AIM members conspired, kidnapped and executed one of their own women and then lied about it for 37 years. Rumors abound and now the excuse is that the feds made them do it or that there was an infiltrator. An infiltrator I will remind those reading this that they all apparently knew about and did nothing about for 37 years. 37 years and not one of all those great AIM warriors once went after this infamous infiltrator?

Now the expressed assumption and expectation is that I should go after this infiltrator with no proof or evidence that they all clearly have( in order to make such accusations) but will not share because of that sacred oath of the brotherhood…LOL…. I am expected now to clean up AIM and Peltiers 37 years of lies and mess?? I would not hold my breath on that one.

Forgiveness only comes with accountability. Forget? Never! Our nations will never forget the injustices suffered at the hands of the government. To do so would be to deny ourselves our very existence, because it is what shaped us into our existence today as SURVIVORS. Why would we forget the same injustice put upon us by those within our own communities or by our own brothers? Same formula different offender. We are the past, the past lives in us and to deny ourselves that is to deny ourselves any future.
