The Rest Of The Story (Video)

Deceased media personality Paul Harvey was noted for the  catch phrase “And now for the rest of the story”, this I believe after lead in words related to a story  that were followed by a commercial.

No commercials have been offered in this blog, but following the blog Liberation-or Murder And Mayhem this in my opinion is the rest of the story.

I believe the AIM/Peltier saga has reached a crossroads,a breaking point, at least in public awareness and a declining fan base, too much has come light and somewhere out there is a person struggling with what they know and their conscience who could step forward at any moment- AIM and Peltier’s  greatest fear.

For all we know they may already have and what they had to offer languishes in the “evidence” files of an “ongoing investigation”.

It’s blatantly evident, patently absurd, that  the DOJ has shown zero interest if prosecuting any of  the “celebrities”, the old saw of an ongoing investigation has grown so tired and aged it requires routine doses of Geritol and frequent diaper changes.

Government agencies employing technology so advanced, so  intrusive, a person can’t go to the bathroom without them knowing it-but somehow they just can’t gather enough evidence to indict and close numerous cold cases on the rez? Bullshit.

There can only be a very limited number of reasons why the DOJ is dragging it’s feet-none of them good, and not a one of them due to a lack of evidence.

More than likely it is about circling the wagons just as AIM has done,an unwillingness to name names, admit faults, and further soil a basket of dirty laundry.

So where are we to turn? Should we merely shrug our shoulders and say that’s just the way it is, wait until the attrition of time and the passing of the principals makes prosecution a moot point and provides additional examples of perfect crimes?

What a comfort it must be to one and all to know time is indeed on their side.

The only viable answer is to return to our traditional ways, clean up our own backyard, “police” ourselves with integrity, expel AIM, and to resurrect our communities and do everything in our power, make every effort to empower ourselves to become self reliant.

We have that right, that ability,  whether anyone says we do or not-whether any facing such an approach would predictably go colonial and drag the courts into it claiming their rights were violated- they are after all OUR communities, and OUR responsibility to maintain them in a healthy and productive way.
