The Trilateral Commission was created in 1973, presumably to deflect attention from the CFR. It shares the same gendas as the Council on Foreign Relations, however the Trilateral Commission is relatively more open.

Nearing the later half of the Cold War, third-world radical increased trade with communist nations. These nations were gaining more economic control and freedom through energy crisis. The U.S., in comparison, was losing its influence around the world. To compete, the U.S. created a group that would to consolidate trade between North America, Western Europe, and Japan (which would later expand to the continent of Asia). And thus, the Trilateral Commission was formed in 1973. Like the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commission is non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan discussion group for world affairs. Meetings are conducted twice a year with nearly 390 members in attendance.

Most Trilateral Commissions members belong to global corporations. The organization is funded by the corporate sector on tax-exempt foundations. Like the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission doesn’t answer to the government. And just like the CFR and Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commissions appears to be an international plan to foster the interdependence necessary to bring about a world government system.

Many conspiracy theorists believe that the Trilateral Commissions is instrumental into creating a three-block world structure. The first phase: consolidate money within the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The Commissions was instrumental into establishing the Euro, so this is a real possibility. The same is rumored to happen in the America, then Asia. The second phase is to consolidate each power structure outside of the political system and into an interdependent economic system. Soon after, in the third phase, the New World Order will commence.

The Bilderberg Group is an interesting collection of powerful and wealthy men and women, many of them from the European royalty, that meets each year. The name originates from the Bilderberg hotel, where the first Bilderberg conference was held in 1954. Very much like the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations, they conduct lengthy discussion on foreign policy in secret annual conferences. Each year, nearly 140 guests, two members from 18 nations, ranging from politics to business attend these talks. Their meetings are not secret but, like the CFR and Trilateral Commission, lectures are not open to the public. The question remains, what exactly do these members discuss?

Meetings are structured in a way to gauge the personal opinions of major world figures on topics ranging from finances, cyber-terrorism and Iran. The conference is not set up like a committee; members don’t vote and propose resolutions. The only thing that appears to happen are discussions. But aside from a few press releases, the Bilderberg Group lacks transparency. No one is sure about the group’s real intentions, or what their exact plans are. Are they trying to plan the best ways to implement a hyper-capitalist world economic structure? Are they planning to implement a one-world government?

The Bilderberg Meetings carry strict security. Journalists have been harassed and even arrested for attempting to enter the conferences. Seeing that the Bilderberg Group is not affiliated with the government, there is no obligation for the meeting to disclosure any information to the public. However, many people are concerned of talks that directly influence national security, and ultimately the United States of America.

Conspiracy theorists have credited the Bilderberg Conferences with organizing a group extremely active in creating the European Union. The Euro became a common currency of every western European nation, except Great Britain. Due to this, many see as a group focused on combining nations into a single, unified Anglo-American dominated society. The accusation of the Bilderberg Group is that the members are covertly trying to create a world government, ran by an unelected elite. Their ultimate goal is to replace national governments through foreign policy by weakening nations states around the world. This is the Illuminati connection.

In fact, the Bilderberg Group was originally for reasons along these lines. An international conference was started to handle the Anti-Americanism growing in Europe during the 1950s. Leaders from America and European countries would act as international representatives, to promote a greater understanding between the two cultures. This attempt is what is known as Atlanticism. Through Atlanticism, political and economical cooperation would be sustained between those of each side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Conspiracy theories about the Bilderberg Group are fairly recent considering its inception. During the Cold War and the Red Scare, the Bilderberg Group maintained a similar vision, goals and values. Instead of a New World Order, conspiracy theorists accused the group paving the road for world communism through international policies. Now, with communism a failed policy, conspiracy skeptics chalk up current theories to paranoia. Is that all this is?
