1.Tyson partners with Protix for insect protein in certain foods, that they claim are for animals and livestock only.  How long will that last is the question?  Is this a way to slowly implement insect protein in the food chain and more acceptance as humans to eat insects? The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) says some insects are edible and safe for humans to eat, if they are properly prepared. It says edible insects are high in quality protein, vitamins and amino acids, and have no known cases of transmitted diseases or parasites to people if they are handled with the same sanitary care as other foods.
