Democrats: The Party of Food Stamps; Republicans: The Party of Paychecks

Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi said that handing out more food stamps stimulates the economy and, hence, creates good jobs. Earlier this year, she also said that providing more unemployment insurance to the unemployed workers would be the fastest way to create new jobs (www.ksdk.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=205482&catid=3). Is this woman crazy! She is definitely wacky. How in the world can a person like this be third in line of progression to the presidency? What they are doing is having exactly the opposite effect on the economy.

I have been unemployed for 15 long months now. I do not want more unemployment checks. I want a good-paying job as I had before Obama’s job-killing policies. Unemployment is heading in the wrong direction. The Gallup Poll said that unemployment went up to 10.1% for September 2010. Obama’s policies should be making the number go down, not up! What are they doing there in Washington, DC? It is the economy, stupid! When are you in the Obama administration going to improve the economy? You have spent us into oblivion, yet the job numbers are heading in the wrong direction.

We are living at the poverty level this year. Next year, we would probably qualify to receive all of those job-creating food stamps. However, we will not accept any food stamps unless we are starving and living only on bread and sugar water. We want jobs. We do not want to live in poverty. We want to earn good money, not receive handouts and food stamps. The Obama administration should stop playing politics and do what is necessary and sufficient to create new jobs.

Stop increasing taxes. Instead, reduce taxes. Stop spending money on wasteful pork barrel projects. Stop bailing out failed companies. Stop giving stimulus money to banks that represent empty holes. Stop creating any more stifling regulations that cost small businesses unnecessary money. Repeal Obamacare. It represents a disaster that will run the country into even greater debt. Stop wasting money on useless unions. Start investing in small businesses. Small businesses create jobs, not food stamps and prolonged unemployment insurance.

President Obama needs to engage himself in the work instead of playing golf all the time. When is he going to start doing something constructive instead of doing all of the destructive things he has done and is currently doing? If he cannot do the job elected to do, he should step aside and let a better man do it. I think, maybe, Donald Trump could do a much better job. We need people in the Administration like Governor Chris Christy who have run businesses before and have created jobs, kept to a budget, and made a profit. We need people who have been responsible for profit centers, not cost centers as all government people.

It is perfectly clear that the Democrat Party is the party of food stamps, and the Republican Party is the party of paychecks. We the People will see to it that we make a wholesale change on November 2, 2010, to get our country back on track as a capitalistic, free-enterprise state instead of a Marxist-socialist nation. We do not want a “spread the wealth” nanny state that will eventually become a third-world banana republic. We have tried Marxist-socialism. It does not work. We must return to the type of government that our forefathers had established. That is the only way to go.
