Baptist Church’s Alleged Cover Up

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Ever heard of Chris Tynes? How about Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX? No? Well, that is something that needs to be rectified. You see, for a period spanning two decades, it is alleged that the officials of the church covered up the fact that one of their employees sexually molested young children.  The depth of the cover-up has even gone so far as to suggest that when the heat was on, the church helped him seek employment at a new church in Mississippi, where he was eventually arrested for new offenses at the new church.

Chris Tynes comes into play because he is the man trying so hard to bring attention to this situation. It seems that Tynes was a member of the church and had been for about 10 years when he heard of the allegations against the employee.  Tynes refused to believe that his church officials could be involved in something as sinister as covering up allegations of the sexual abuse of young children.

According to Tynes, he made an appointment to meet with the pastor of the church. A few days before the meeting was to take place, Tynes was contacted and told that the meeting was cancelled. Tynes decided to go to his church anyway and try to meet with the pastor when he arrived at the church. Tynes sat in the parking lot until he was approached by security and told to leave the property (or he would be arrested for trespassing.)

This is a developing story, and more will be coming in the next few days, so please check back often. As leads are investigated and information is confirmed, new stories will be written to expose the truth behind this story.  There is a Facebook page created by Tynes entitled “People against Prestonwood’s Silence on Allegations of Sexual Abuse.”
