Obama Assigns Job Of Gun Confiscation To…
“Ideally, handguns, which account for more than half of all homicides in the United States, should be banned completely, but we recognize that this is not currently politically feasible,” wrote Dr. Karl P. Adler in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
For years, the confiscationist left have fought a losing battle in their attempt to repeal the rights of 100 million American gun owners. Even with the benefit of what dedicated gun grabbers undoubtedly considered a God-send–the brutal murder of 20 children in Newtown, Conn.–the right to keep and bear arms has been so jealously guarded, and the intentions of gun control advocates so mistrusted that no significant legislation could be passed.
For this reason, Barack Obama has decided to remove 2nd Amendment rights from the realm of politics and constitutional guarantee by transforming the question of gun violence into an issue of public health.
On January 26th, Obama issued Exec Order # 14, a “Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.” Why does the president believe a public health approach will undermine the right to keep and bear arms? “Anything that unnecessarily contributes to human disease, injury, or death is a proper concern of public health, including firearm deaths,” writes Nicholas Johnson in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. “Public health’s role is to reduce these firearm injuries and deaths.”
In short, as “firearm violence” becomes an issue for the healthcare community, guns become elements of disease, deadly pathogens that place the public at risk. And being a disease-causing agent, the gun’s effects must be controlled by the medical bureaucracy with a clear objective of stamping out the source itself.
Making gun rights a question of public health is a master stroke for those who cannot win a 2nd Amendment argument. For when removed from the constitutional domain, the question of gun ownership is reduced to a simple if thoroughly dishonest matter of the public good. And assigned by the Obama Regime to look into this particular “threat” to the American people will be anti-gun alarmists like Dr. Adler who maintains that, “firearm violence has reached epidemic proportions in this country and is now a public health emergency…” Nothing like a hoplophobic approach to the topic from a medical community charged with its honest investigation.
In June, the Institute of Medicine published a preliminary report in response to the Obama Memorandum, claiming the president’s public health approach to gun violence would “…help…develop effective policies to reduce its occurrence and impact in the U.S.”
And what “effective policies” for the control of gun violence are favored by medical and public health professionals? “A total handgun eradication program might be useful toward this end…” wrote Nicholas Johnson in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. And Doctors Katherine Christoffel and Robert Tanz of the Children’s Hospital in Chicago proudly announced a plan “…to do to handguns what their profession has done to cigarettes … turn gun ownership from a personal-choice issue to a repulsive, anti-social health hazard.”
It seems Americans will have to hang onto their gun rights just a little tighter as Barack Obama looks to the nation’s doctors to “cure” what her politicians could not–America’s addiction to freedom.

Sounds like it will come down to a matter of geography…again. Liberal indoctrinated doctors who live in liberal areas will happily do whatever they can to assist in this. You know areas like the Northeast, California and smaller pockets around the country.

He works in a Trauma ER unit and sees people all day long that have been shot, by thugs, that were unarmed. You think those thugs got their guns a Dick’s Sporting Goods, the legal way??? That Doc doesn’t plan on being a victim and he knows the danger is lurking right around the corner more than you may think.
Lastly, he has also been in an ER in another State where a “Gangtsa” came in with a gun b/c they could not save his bullet riddle buddy. This happens more than you think. Try to get good doctors to go along with this!!!!! Another thing about most Doctors: They are smarter than the average bear and can snifff out B.S. like this, as most of us can.

They should be very careful with this line of reasoning. If guns, gun dealers and gun manufacturers can be targeted because they “cause harm” to the public, what about prescription drugs? How many tens of thousand of people die because of them every year and how many millions more are injured, often without their realizing it? Could the drug companies and prescribing doctors be held to account under this logic?
More broadly it could be said that a failing economy leads to stress and violence, both health issues. Who is mainly responsible for that? The creatures in DC. So again, by their own logic, they could be taken to account as part of the health crisis.
Of course, none of this will happen as they are the ones with the money and power.

Of course this will mean that owning and operating a motor vehicle will ultimately become a criminal offense punishable by fine and/or imprisonment, and there will be no way for folks to get to work, shop at the grocery store, go to school, the hospital, church, or visit family and friends, but they’ll just have to suck it up … as will the president, his cabinet and council, every member of Congress and Senate, and every federal, state, and municipal government employee. Only emergency services vehicles (police, fire, paramedics, etc.) will be permitted on our nation’s highways.
But wait, there’s more! Think of the countless benefits to be derived from such a law. As immediate examples, air pollution will be dramatically reduced, we will no longer be dependent upon Arab oil, millions of lives will be saved, rest areas will become parks, trillions of dollars will be saved in highway maintenance costs, and folks will become healthier by walking, jogging, riding bicycles, or roller-skating everywhere they go. Remember the “statistics” he quotes include suicide by gun including suicide by cop as well as homicide in self defense. The government and the media cook the books and they bend the statistics to suit what ever plan they are hatching.
Here is an example, “The murder rate directly matches Ice Cream sales. When Ice cream sales increase so does the murder rate.” Both are accurate and truthful. However they are not directly connected. If that is the case, then doctors and hospitals are a proper concern of public health and should be abolished, since there are well over 150,000 iatrogenic deaths annually, and nobody knows how many thousands of deaths result from hospital infections. Come to think of it, Congress and our entire District of Criminals has become a concern of public health. Abolish them.
