You dont want the police trampling on rights but at the same time you want the police to provide protection and ask questoins to make sure somone’s intentions are right.

9-1-1 operator: “You say there are two young ladies in the food line at Wal-Mart who are wearing holstered pistols? Do they appear to be doing anything illegal?”
Caller: “Well, no, but they’re carrying real guns!”
9-1-1 operator: “Ma’am, they’re exercising a God-given right. If we sent our officers out to investigate every instance of citizens exercising a right, they wouldn’t have time to write traffic tickets, not to mention pursue genuine criminals or patronize the local donut shoppes. Maybe it’s time you reviewed our Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights.”

I agree that we need to know our rights, and flex them when necessary. What we don’t need are teens being nuisance in Walmart acting as if they’re not responsible enough to carry a gun. You do not have to show your ID. When you do show them and they have no cause to ask you in the first place you are giving them consent they otherwise would not have. They are corporation and have no jurisduction unless you give it to them.

As the cop states “a store owner has the right to ask you to leave the establishment”. Did they or did they just call the cops? I don’t know a single OC’er that wouldn’t leave immediately or cover their weapon if asked to do so. This Walmart should have to pay the expense of these “law officers” responding to a BS call. I purchased a Concealed Carry badge affixed it to my leather holster and have not had the first person question my OC. Funny that a badge makes everything okay.
You are right that the owner of the store has the right to ask a person with a weapon to leave. And if the person do not leave then the store owner have the right to call the cops.
But why them allow policemen with guns to enter his/her establishments? The police murders more unarmed persons each year than any other criminal organization in the USA. Calling them without first asking the person to leave is willingly endangering the lives of his/her employees and his/her costumers.

I was watching No where did the cop say the store manager Did ask them to leave. He said they have a right to do so. Just as these people have a legal right to open carry if not prohibited by the establishment. The gentleman said he always looked to see if the store or whatever is posted as to No Guns which this store was not. I don’t know about that particular store but Most Wal-Marts sell fire arms so they should not have a problem with someone carrying one.

There was NO notice posted and NO one asked them to leave until the Cop said go outside.

If the “law” says they can open carry then the police MUST respect the law. if there is a problem with the law then they can try to get it changed but, they cannot be above the law themselfs.. Police dont have it hard, more people die j-walking every year than being a police officer. There is a 30% decrese in ALL crime where open carry is legal. So before you say you are on the officers side be aware that the “law” says they are with in there rights to do this and that MUST be respected above all. If you dont like the law move!! I love them! If more law-abiding citizens were like this they’d be less crime. I live in NYC and I wish more law-abiding citizens carried guns. There’s a lot of crime you do not hear about, because it doesn’t receive national press. Maybe it’s NYC realtors or the tourism board. I’ve been here a year and have heard about rapes, robberies, hate crimes against whites, murders, a girl found dead in the subway with her wallet and ID missing – likely another murder.

So the girls had guns. Big deal. I am assuming it is legal to open carry there. So why were the police called in the first place? I don’t appreciate the cop holding them up for so long though. 1st as the person stated no sign at entry, well then you go on in with your side arm, second it seems that no one asked them to leave because of it, well you stay and do what you need to do.
My laugh is that the cop was hemming and hawing at the passport as ID, what a joke, a passport for all legal reasons is an internationally recognized and accepted means of identification and it supersedes a state ID. Go figure.
They were all so young to be carrying, just hope that they really know how to use it—for their sake and safety. I wonder if the cops would have been called if a couple of grannies came strolling in with a side arm or rifle? hahahahaha I would have paid to be a fly on the wall for that scene

The person who phoned Police and the mouthy guy in the parking lot are quite obviously Obama Supporters and brain-washed, anti-gun monkeys. The cop was a little too aggressive and I’m sure the camera made him very stressed out. I found it odd that he wanted more ID from the female who handed him her passport.
The more interesting aspect of the video to me at least, is NO ONE asked for the policeman to correctly identify himself before they offerred the police ID documentation. That he wears a uniform and drives a marked vehicle, does not make him a policeman!
What if we all carried sidearms since way back? Would there be any crime since all the dumb criminals would have been eradicated by now? LoL.
Wasn’t it blatantly obvious that the officer wasn’t at all concerned for his safety around these armed citizens? That alone speaks volumes about the fact that their real concern is NOT public safety but about creating a state where it is impossible for the people to revolt to tyranny.

If it was homeland they all would have been taken in and held for questioning on suspected terror plotting, the video would be much shorter.
a. What you wear does not invite or encourage commentary or comment, let alone harassment or detainment.
b. When you have true freedom to exercise your rights, you have an expectation that you are able to go about your business without question. That includes what your age is, who your family is, where you are going, etc.
c. When a police officer arrives with no clear nature of infraction, he needs to assess the situation and take appropriate action. The call was probably ‘kids with guns’, thus the heavy firepower was
shown, but the cops had nothing.
d. Being free does not imply necessity to hide.
e. If you can’t carry a gun in your state, you wouldn’t understand the situation, since you lost the right because of politicians beliefs of what is good for you.
After watching…it does NOT appear that any one of the people involved were causing a situation. If the cop didn’t know what the issue was, and if they didn’t know what the situation was, then it would seem that he, the very intent officer, was merely acting on behalf of either his own agenda or, perhaps, on that of someone whom may have seen him in the area and decided to point out that “someone was carrying guns” in China-mart. Upon his arrival, and probably chagrin, he sees that it is a group of law abiding young women, whom have taken the initiative to exercise their rights guaranteed them by the United States Constitution. Well, like Obama said, “We shouldn’t let a crisis go to waste.” So, hey…he was there, the person(s) whom called his attention to the non-issue was probably hanging around…or…was the ass monkey in the maroon shirt, so he ensued with his gestapo tactics, to prove a point. I agree with Rufus. Although a few of the cops were being assholes and could have handled the situation a lot differently, I think these guys are pushing it. I’m all for the 2nd Amendment and a gun owner, but if you walk into a state capitol building or a public place with an AR, you can’t blame the cops for getting a little nervous. Of course, they are going to question you and they should. If somebody was walking around my office building openly armed, your damn right I’m calling 911 – doesn’t matter if it legal or not. We a have right to keep and bear arms, but use good judgement and respect that most cops have a very tough job to do and people are on edge now.
