You’ll Never Guess Who’s On The Clintons’ Enemies List

Holiday weekends often produce unusual news.

For me, this Easter weekend was especially strange. You see, late on Friday, the Clinton Presidential Library released some documents that revealed something I’ve known for decades but had trouble proving…

My name was on the Clinton White House’s list of spies and enemies.

Now, such lists aren’t new, but they were rarely ever seen by anyone outside of the administration. Beginning in 1978, however, the Presidential Records Act changed the ownership of presidential and White House documents, making it mandatory that they be released over a fixed timetable.

Without such a law, I doubt the Clintons would’ve ever let this most interesting document, “The Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce,” see daylight.

Under Pressure From the Political Elite

Originally, this document was 331 pages. Unfortunately, what the Clintons released was reduced to only 28 pages, and much of the information had been scrubbed.

But even the redacted version exposes the Clintons’ favorite method of spiking stories from the news, a method that has been perfected by the Obama machine.

The document claims that Joseph Farah (of the Western Journalism Center) and I were engaged in a conspiracy to spread illegitimate investigative reportage.

Here’s how the report articulates the point: “The Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce refers to the mode of communication employed by the right wing to convey their fringe stories into legitimate subjects of coverage by the mainstream media.”

By making the stories somehow the domain of odious right-wingers, the Clinton team believed they could intimidate mainstream outlets from covering these stories.

The report continues:

“This is how the stream works: Well-funded right-wing think tanks and individuals underwrite conservative newsletters and newspapers such as the Western Journalism Center, The American Spectator and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Next, the stories are reprinted on the internet where they are bounced into the mainstream media through one of two ways: 1) The story will be picked up by the British tabloids and covered as a major story, from which the American right-of-center mainstream media (i.e., The Wall Street Journal, Washington Times and New York Post) will then pick the story up; or 2) The story will be bounced directly from the internet to the right-of-center mainstream American media. After the mainstream right-of-center media covers the story, Congressional committees will look into the story. After Congress looks into the story, the story now has the legitimacy to be covered by the remainder of the American mainstream press as a ‘real’ story.”

All I can say is, wow, they really are paranoid.

I had a completely different take of what was going on during this same period…

At the time, I was the editor of a small newsletter called Clinton Watch, and we covered stories ignored by the mainstream news media.

This was in the days before the internet was widely used, and news traveled more slowly. To try to speed stories up, I employed the most high-tech tool I had at the time… a fax machine. I would fax stories to various reporters in the much larger mainstream media, even if they mostly ignored what I had to say.

Yet this is how the report describes it: “The media food chain is the system by which right-wing activists feed conspiracy theories and innuendo from the fringes into the mainstream media. The ‘food chain’ starts with activists such as Willie Horton creator Floyd Brown, Sheffield Nelson and Larry Nichols. These activists feed the partisan conservative press. Publications such as The American Spectator, theWashington Times and the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal. The mainstream press then picks up on these reports.”

In fact, I openly shared the stories with any reporters who would listen. Mostly, only the conservative press took note. I was routinely frustrated by the other American media groups’ reluctance to cover important stories just because they were pressured to back off by the powerful elite.

This is the reason I shifted careers and became a full-time scribe. You see, for the country to function properly, we need an informed citizenry. Thus I pledge to you that I’ll continue to write and share stories spiked by the pressure of the political elite. I work for you, the reader, and no amount of pressure from the bigwigs of D.C. will shut me up.
