Trump’s Taxes

(Before It's News)

IRS - Copy

As predicted, the mainstream media has illegally obtained and published leaked copies of some of Donald Trump’s tax returns from the mid-90’s. If there’s any justice, the culprits, including the media who broke the law by publishing, will be punished to the fullest extent of the laws they broke. Hillary Clinton is hypocritically crowing over Trump’s tax returns of 20 years ago, despite the inconvenient truth that she used the same tax “avoidance scheme” herself!

What else can anyone expect of Democrats? They and their accomplices in the media have fine-tuned this leak-and-publish stunt to perfection, especially when things aren’t going well for Democrats in any election.

They have no honor whatsoever.

It seems that any time a Democrat is in a close race or involved in a scandal, out comes the leaked documents, even if they’re forged and then leaked to the media. Remember George W. Bush’s fake Air National Guard records?

Dan Rather remembers rather well.

Barack Obama famously benefited in the 2004 Illinois Senate race when his opponent’s divorce/custody records were handed over to the media by an arguably partisan judge, even though doing so was unprecedented, especially after both parents had requested that the records remain sealed to protect their special-needs, minor child. The judge apparently reversed his decision to keep the records sealed after members of the media, who had obtained leaked information from them, pressured the judge to release them for partisan reasons.

Of course, Bill Clinton benefited when Linda Tripp’s personnel records were illegally leaked and then published. In the end, Tripp received some justice because she sued the government and the settlement (surely made to benefit the guilty) cost taxpayers well over $600,000.

These are a few examples I remember off the top of my head. Surely there are many more.

So long as public employees, almost invariably Democrats, remain unpunished, the Democrats will continue to benefit from illegal leaks of their opponents’ personal documents like tax returns, court judgments, and personnel files.

Conversely, Democrats will continue to benefit from the destruction of public records that may harm them. For example, Obama’s passport records were “cauterized” from State Dept. files; his father’s college transcripts mysteriously disappeared from a university library; travel records from the week of his birth were mysteriously “bunched up” and destroyed at the National Archives; his grandfather’s FBI file was disappeared or destroyed; his kindergarten records went missing while other school records were “eaten by bugs“; and a page from his parent’s divorce records is missing.

Then there are Hillary Clinton’s emails (public records, by the way), which were illegally destroyed by a contract employee who used BleachBit software to make sure they would never see the light of day. Of course there’s also the infamous case of the late Sandy Berger, who stole from the National Archives records concerning the Clinton administration’s handling of terrorist threats. To keep the documents from being turned over to the 9/11 Commission, Berger shoved them down into his pants and/or socks, took them outside, hid them under a construction trailer, and then returned at night to retrieve and secrete or destroy them. For this federal crime, and also for lying about it to authorities (another federal crime), Berger got a relative slap on the wrist. Of course, he was in service to the Clintons, who are Democrat royalty.

The complicit media, for their part, preferred to parrot the meme that Sandy had no intention of taking those papers. He just accidentally picked them up because he was “sloppy.” (Most people don’t accidentally hide documents in their pants or socks.) Furthermore, the media parroted the additional lie that the missing documents were only copies, not originals. False. Berger was illegally given access to originals (because Democrats always get special treatment), which he proceeded to steal.

In any case, today the New York Times (which itself paid no taxes in 2014) blessed us with the news that

Donald Trump Tax Records Show He Could Have Avoided Taxes for Nearly Two Decades, The Times Found. [emphasis added to quotes]

The reporters go on to breathlessly write

Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.

The operative words in their revelation are could (they have no idea whether Trump paid no taxes for 18 years) and legally (even if he did not pay taxes, what he did is perfectly legal).

These smarmy mainstream media partisans don’t know whether or not Trump took full 18-year advantage of his legal right to deduct losses from his tax returns, but they’re going to try to make hay out of it, anyway. The implication is that Trump is ineligible to be president (what else can they mean?) because if he deducted his losses then he took advantage of a “loophole.” Another implication is (and what else could their point be?) that Trump is somehow un-American for not paying his “fair share.”

But what he did, if he did it, is no loophole, any more than the Earned Income Tax Credit is a loophole. The tax code is what it is. Trump hires accountants who do his taxes for him. Most certainly, they’d lose their licenses and all their business if in practice they failed to accurately calculate their clients’ taxes!

So what does the New York Times expect America to make of this betrayal of Donald Trump’s privacy and this revelation that he “could have” paid no income taxes for the past 18 years? For what it’s worth, here are my thoughts:

Holy Crap! $916,000,000 lost! Almost a billion dollars? Trump lost almost a billion dollars 20 years ago and it did not crush the man. Instead, he picked himself up and got on with building a successful business empire.

How freaking admirable.

In the process of keeping on keeping on, Trump created tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, of jobs. His employees have benefited for decades because Trump did not let his early losses defeat him. Isn’t that the kind of person we need in the White House?

Now, as for Hillary Clinton–is she holier than thou? Does she believe that it’s un-American or disqualifying to take tax deductions to which one is entitled? Here’s what Hillary said about Trump–that he

apparently got to avoid paying taxes for nearly two decades—while tens of millions of working families paid theirs.

But only after taking the deductions to which they’re entitled, right? Surely most “working families” don’t pay taxes that they don’t owe. That would be stupid. Does Hillary think working families are stupid?

Be warned:

If you take advantage of tax deductions, Hillary Clinton, the media, and the Democrats consider you a tax cheat.

What about Saint Hillary, though? Did the Clintons take advantage of any deductions over the years, so they could get “to avoid paying taxes?”

Hmm. It pays to be old because I seem to remember the Clintons famously deducting from their tax returns the “gifts” of Bill’s smelly old underpants and somebody’s–perhaps Hillary’s–smelly old shoes to charity:

If the recent past is any guide, Bill Clinton and his wife, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, have been spending the past few months gathering up unwanted belongings — from old shoes to shower curtains to jogging shorts to, yes, apparently used underwear — carefully enumerating each item alongside dollar amounts on handwritten lists, and giving the lot to such worthy causes as the Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries.

Did the Clinton’s claim Chelsea as a dependent? Did they take their standard deductions? How about mortgage interest deductions for that mansion in New York?

Surely it would be hypocritical for Clinton or her friends in the media to criticize Trump for taking deductions to which he’s entitled while she has done the same thing! In fact, she did the exact same thing, but don’t expect the New York Times to document how much Hillary “could have” managed to avoid paying in taxes when she deducted almost $700,000 in losses from her 2015 tax return!

It remains to be seen how this “bombshell” plays across America. It’s not as if it’s news to us that Donald Trump is a fabulously wealthy man who (obviously) earned his wealth the hard way by pulling himself up from his bootstraps (instead of giving speeches, like the Clintons).

Of course, Hillary’s going to tell you that Trump inherited his wealth. Even so, it would seem that a $916,000,000 loss more than wiped out that “up to $200 million inheritance,” meaning that Trump was, more or less, rebuilding from scratch. Right?

Whatever further “bombshells” the Clintons and the mainstream media pull out of their rear ends, We the People must stay the course. We must hold steady and on election day

VOTE TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

If Trump can rebuild after a loss of almost a billion dollars, then surely he’s the guy who can help our country out of crippling debt and deficits and make America great again (while making Mexico pay for the Wall).
