Jesus Campos vanished, David Hickey last to communicate with Campos investigated in 2012 for embezzlement, No one saw Campos be a hero, No one saw Steven Paddock pull a trigger, Quick Care has no record

The narrative of the Las Vegas shootings being a lone gunman, Steven Paddock and alleged security guard Jesus Campos being a hero were crafted and propagated early, without any vetting.

Now they are stuck trying to lie their way out of lies.

This appears to be weighing heavily on the sheriff.

“But Campos has been a mysterious subject since being wounded in the first moments of Paddock’s assault. After speaking to hotel and law enforcement officials, Campos was scheduled to appear on local Las Vegas television for an interview, but went missing just moments before he was supposed to be on air.

David Hickey, a spokesman for the Security, Police, and Fire Professionals of America (SPFPA), Campos’s union, said he got a text that Campos had been taken to an urgent care facility, UMC Quick Care. But UMC Quick Care says none of their clinics filled out an intake request for a patient by that name, and Campos has been silent since the text – vanishing, basically, into thin air.

Campos could, of course, just be laying low, trying to escape the limelight as he recovers from his wounds and handles issues with his employer, MGM casinos. Hickey did mention that he and Campos had had a meeting with MGM just before Campos agreed to go on air to share his story. But Hickey also says Campos was looking forward to speaking about the incident, and saw scheduled interviews as cathartic.

“Right now I’m just concerned where my member is, and what his condition is. It’s highly unusual,” Hickey told media. “I’m hoping everything is OK with him and I’m sure MGM or the union will let (media) know when we hear something,” he said.”

“Federal agents have raided the home of a Michigan-based labor boss amid allegations that he may have stolen money from union members who guard nuclear power facilities and a NASA space center, according to the Detroit News.

The newspaper reported Friday that David Hickey, international president of the Security, Police, and Fire Professionals of America, is apparently the target of a racketeering and fraud investigation being carried out by the Labor Department.

In an exclusive report, the News said Hickey’s home in Troy, Mich., was recently raided, along with the union’s headquarters in Roseville. The investigators seized financial records and even cases filled with magic tricks from Hickey’s home, apparently in an effort to establish a money trail that would substantiate allegations of embezzlement.

Peter Henning, a former federal prosecutor who now teaches law at Wayne State University, told the News that agents must suspect that the magic materials were purchased with money embezzled from the union.”
